I've been listening to "console" music from www.8bitpeoples.com for a few weeks now. Awesome stuff, really awesome. It brings back a slice of my eight-bit childhood (the game console known as "Dendy", properly called the NES). I love that all the releases are free and short — about 15-30 minutes.
I read David Brin's book "The Postman". A lot of people probably know the movie of the same name, but I haven't seen it. The book is good, especially for those who adore the post-apocalyptic theme. It might seem too simple and straightforward, but I figured out a long time ago that overcomplication, complexity, and pseudo-intellectualism are far from synonymous with coolness.
Overall, David Brin is a good sci-fi writer, I've read several of his books. They stand out for their excellent humor and meticulous crafting of the plot and characters. It's really weird, but I didn't even know he wrote "The Postman." I really should reread the "Uplift War" cycle.
